This datalayer presents population data from 2000 at the census tract level. The data for each census tract include the number of people, the population density, and the population by gender, by age group, and by other categories. A census tract is a small, relatively permanent statistical subdivision of a county delineated by a local committee of census data users for the purpose of presenting data.
