Student Enrollment Data, 1994-2006, Municipal
|
This datalayer contains the total student enrollment in public schools for each municipality from 1994 to 2006. The municipal grades and enrollment indicate the grades offered and the total enrollment in this municipality; the shared district grades and enrollment displays the grade and enrollment of the Academic Regional School District in which this municipality is enrolled in. Other grades and enrollment displays the grades and enrollment of another municipality, with which this municipality has Grade Tuition Agreement. Grade Tuition Agreement means that a municipality may tuition all their students in a particular grade span into another school system. Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment Test (MCAS) Data, 2000-2007, Municipal
|
This data set includes the MCAS data for 3rd Grade MCAS Reading Proficiency (%) 2000-2006; 10th Grade MCAS Math Proficiency(%),2007; 10th Grade MCAS English Language Arts Proficiency(%),2007; 4th Grade MCAS Proficiency,2007, etc. for each municipality. The MCAS data could be used to support local educators’ efforts to improve curriculum and to better serve the academic needs of all their students. |

| This datalayer presents the data of recipients of reduced-price or free school lunch in the school year of 2002-2003 for each municipality. The information includes total student enrollment, recipients of free lunch, and percent of recipients of free lunch. |

|
The High School Dropout Rate provides information on students who dropped out of Massachusetts public schools during the 2004-05 reporting years (July 1, 2004, to June 30, 2005). Dropouts are defined as those students in grades nine through twelve who leave school prior to graduation for reasons other than transfer to another school. |

Educational Attainment (Persons 25+), 2000, Municipal and Census Tract
|
These datalayers present the information on educational attainment among persons over 25 in the year of 2000, at the municipal level and census tract level. Educational attainment refers to the highest level of education completed in terms of the highest degree or the highest level of schooling completed. The data of educational attainment of each race group (White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, and Other) are also provided. The educational attainment data are important for government agencies on funding allocations and program planning and implementation. |
